in fleeting glances, the knight beholds me
never a smile, yet his gaze ignites my heart’s frenzy
faintly, i catch his words in the air
“she looks stunning today,” he shares.
the knight whispers softly to his friend
stealing glances, our eyes briefly blend
warmth spreads, my cheeks flush with grace
as blood courses through, a blush i couldn’t erase.
